Church Giving

Giving/Belonging to St. Patrick’s means you shoulder responsibility with other church members for the work of the parish; a vital part of belonging is helping to pay our bills. Making a regular financial contribution to the work of the local church is not only biblical but a very practical way of supporting the whole church and demonstrates your commitment and support. To meet its overheads, the upkeep of our property, light, heat, water rates etc. Diocesan quota and support the work of the Church at home and overseas St Patrick’s depends on the generous support of parishioners.

A full financial report, audited accounts and annual budget are published each year and made available at the General Easter Vestry. Our Select Vestry (an elected committee) is responsible for the finances, fabric and furnishings.  St Patrick’s gives charitable aid to home and overseas agencies. Occasionally we will take up special offerings in the event of a disaster or a missionary endeavour, etc. These are taken in addition to regular giving.

How can you give?

On a Sunday:  Collections are taken up as part of our worship at each of our Sunday services.

Freewill offering Envelopes are available from the Hon. Treasurer.

“On the first day of every week each of you must put aside some money, in proportion to what he/she has earned ..” 1 Corinthians 16: 2

By Standing Order: By far the easiest and most tax-efficient form of giving, helpful for our own budget projections, is to set up a monthly Standing Order: you can contact the Hon Treasurer. If you are a UK taxpayer, by making a Gift Aid Declaration the Church can claim back 28 pence for each pound donated.

St Patrick’s is a registered charity – XN 46152
